1. Is AI possible? Why?
AI is not possible. Because there is no way to instill a computer with emotions. They will always be following a program and their responses will be thought out based on how the creator decided to program it. It will never be able to come up with TRUE emotion.
2. Is AI good or bad?
AI falls into both the good and bad category. AI could possibly make society much more efficient and make those unwanted jobs possible by computers. The bad thing is it will take jobs that people need, and cause an anti social society. Instead of going out and talking they'll talk to the computer. Its already starting to enter that stage as it is, but with AI it will escalate the already diminishing social skills of our society.
3. Is Moore's law an accurate prediction on computer advancement?
At the moment Moore's law is almost spot on with computer advancement. It started out much slower then predicted as time went on computers have caught up to Moore's law and seem to be keeping that pace. So yes it is an accurate prediction at the moment.
4. Will it ever be possible for a computer to pass the turing test? why?
No if it truly is a computer then it will never pass the turing test. The turing test is specifically designed to separate computers from humans if that test fails to tell the difference the computer is no longer a computer.
5. Do you believe AI today is even near human? Why?
No AI today is extremely basic and very easy to tell that it is a computer. They constantly repeat answers and sometimes even admit randomly in conversation that they are computers. They have a long way to come to even touch on basic human conversations.
